Video: SFPD officers kick down door, help evacuate people from burning apartment

(KRON) — San Francisco Police Department officers helped evacuate people from a burning building on Monterey Boulevard after an unknown person set the building on fire on October 25, a video released by SFPD shows.
Police were responding to a burglary call at the apartment at 9:50 p.m. when the f
ire was set. SFPD’s video of the response includes a recording of a woman telling a 911 operator that she could not escape the burning building.
“I can’t leave!” the woman told 911.

Identity of woman found unconscious in California field remains a mystery
The officers evacuated the building within a minute of arriving at the scene. The San Francisco Fire Department arrived several minutes later and extinguished the flames.
“Quick-thinking officers rescued a pair of residents unable to escape from a burning building,” SFPD said. “These officers placed themselves at risk to save lives, demonstrating bravery and commitment to protecting others.”
