The U.S. Skimo team secured their Olympic bids on Saturday at the Salt Lake City World Cup, held at Solitude Mountain Resort. Team USA just had to topple Canada on Saturday in the mixed relay races, which both their A and B teams did. The U.S. A team of Anna Gibson and Camerson Smith won the A teams race with a time of 32:17.6. The U.S. B team of Parkite Griffin Briley and Hali Hafeman won the B teams race with a time of 34:21.6. Racing at Solitude continues on Sunday with sprint races. Qualification for the races begins at 9:50 a.m., with the races’ award ceremony being held at 1:20 p.m. A closing celebration featuring snacks and music will run from 4 to 5:45 p.m. at the resort.
