A woman was killed when a U.S. Postal Service van collided with her car Saturday in suburban Des Plaines.The worker, a 48-year-old man, was driving a USPS Mercedes-Benz van about 10 a.m. south in the 1700 block of Mannheim Road when he drifted into oncoming lanes, lost control of the vehicle and str uck a woman driving a Chrysler Sebring, according to Des Plaines police.The woman, identified as Laurie Jensen, 65, from Mt. Prospect, was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died, police said.The man was hospitalized, but his condition wasn’t released.
