Firefighters battled a multi-alarm fire at a multi-unit apartment complex in the O'Hare community on the Northwest Side on Friday afternoon.The blaze broke out about 4 p.m. at 8629 W. Foster Ave., prompting a response from the Chicago Fire Department, officials said. Crews took about an hour Friday afternoon to put down an apartment fire in the O’Hare neighborhood. One firefighter was transported to a hospital for treatment.ABC7 Chicago Residents were evacuated from the building near Dirksen Elementary School as firefighters conducted defensive operations, officials said.
