The westbound lane of Interstate 70 near the Eisenhower Tunnel is closed because of safety concerns, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. The closure is between exits 216 and 205, which are for Loveland Pass and Silverthorne, respectively. A heavy winter storm is expected to hit the area between today and tomorrow. Up to 15 inches is forecasted for the I-70 corridor, including the Park, Gore and Mosquito ranges. Rabbit Ears Pass could get up to two feet of snow. Other road conditions and updates are posted on the Colorado Department of Transportation’s website, maps.cotrip.org.
