Dec 5, 2025 morning forecast from Tara Hastings INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Cold start across parts of Northern Indiana this morning with single digit readings. The cloud cover is making it a little bit warmer here in Central Indiana. We will look for some sunshine later today and we are tracking so me more snow for the end of the weekend. TODAY: Single digit readings across parts of Indiana this morning as skies have cleared and the snowpack is thick. The cloud cover in Central Indiana is acting as a blanket and providing slightly warmer temperatures in Central and Southern Indiana. We will look for some of those clouds to clear and we’ll see sunshine this afternoon. High temperatures will climb right around 30 degrees. The winds won’t be as bad either. TONIGHT: Look for temperatures to not drop off as much tonight. We’ll look for lows right around 25. Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy during the overnight hours. TOMORROW: If you were heading out for any of the college game day activities It looks like we will see decent weather. Look for partly to mostly cloudy skies on Saturday. High temperatures will climb right around 34. No significant weather to give you any kind of tricky travel on Saturday if you’re heading to downtown Indianapolis. 7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: On Sunday we are going to be tracking a quick moving clipper system. This will move across the Great lakes and tap into a little bit of some warmer air across parts of Indianapolis and Point South. We’ll look for some scattered rain showers possible in the Central and Southern sections of Indiana. And some light snow showers could be possible in Indianapolis and points northward as well. It doesn’t look like we’ll see significant snow but a quick coating is possible around 1 to 2 in of snow from North Central to Northern Indiana. The timing of this will be very early Sunday morning. All of the precipitation whether it be snow or rain moves out of here by early afternoon on Sunday.  Colder air follows this system on Monday. Look for partly cloudy skies and high temperatures only around 27. We warm back up Tuesday and Wednesday with some scattered rain or snow showers possible.
