INDIANAPOLIS, IND. (WOWO) Indiana has launched a pilot program that allows certain state employees to bring infants to work. The program applies to children six months old and younger, with specific requirements for participation according to WSBT. Parents who wish to bring an infant to work must gi ve at least 10 business days’ notice and designate coworkers who agree to serve as “alternative care providers.” The pilot program aims to help working parents while maintaining workplace safety and productivity. The initiative comes after Governor Mike Braun ended most hybrid and remote-work arrangements for state employees earlier this year. State officials say the pilot program is part of ongoing efforts to support employees with young children. The pilot program is expected to run for several months, after which state officials will evaluate its effectiveness and consider whether to expand the policy.
