NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) — The annual Newport Jazz Festival has announced its 2025 lineup. Singer-songwriter Janelle Monáe, hip hop band The Roots, and multi-instrumentalist Jacob Collier top the list of performers, which also includes RB singer Jorja Smith, bassist Esperanza Spalding, and legenda ry hip hop group De La Soul. Jazz fans can look forward to seeing vocalists Cécile McLorin Salvant and Dianne Reeves, as well as the Emmet Cohen Trio. Newport Jazz Artistic Director Christian McBride will also be performing with his Grammy-winning Big Band. Full 2025 lineup The three-day festival will be held at Fort Adams State Park from Aug. 1–3. Daily lineups will be revealed at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, which is when single-day ticket sales begin, but three-day general admission passes are available at a discount before that time.
