IU basketball lands sharpshooting transfer Lamar Wilkerson

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) — Coveted Sam Houston State transfer guard Lamar Wilkerson has committed to IU.
Wilkerson averaged 20.5 points per game this season while shooting 44.5% from three-point range. He also averaged 4.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
His three-point percentage jum
ped up from 34.7% in 2023-24. It was at 37.3% in the 2022-23 season.
Wilkerson played three seasons at Sam Houston State. Before that, he played at Three Rivers College, a community college in Missouri.
Wilkerson joins Reed Bailey (Davidson) and Conor Enright (DePaul) as players to transfer to IU. Tucker DeVries, new IU head coach Darian DeVries’ son, has also reportedly committed to IU, but needs a medical hardship waiver for another year of eligibility. IU also has incoming freshman Trent Sisley on its roster.
