ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Team New Mexico Racquetball is a new nonprofit with a focus on racquetball events and programs. The organization is holding its 1st Annual Chile Traditions Cinco de Mayo Racquetball Tournament hosted by Riverside Sports and Wellness May 1 - 4.

The open divisions will play for a cash prize, while non cash awards will be given to winners in all other divisions. Over 100 players are slated to participate, featuring Gearbox pro Andree Parilla. There will also be a small group of children ages 6 - 11 participating. All participants receive a goodie bag, tournament shirt, and commemorative pin. Sponsors will have tables set up and meals will be provided at the event. This event helps fund the Team New Mexico Racquetball organization, including plans to begin to develop and sponsor kids interested in racquetball.
