The Inland boys athlete of the week: Name: Grady Emerson School: Riverside Poly Sport: Golf Year: Freshman Noteworthy: Emerson turned in a pair of sub-par rounds last week to lead the Bears to Ivy League victories over Paloma Valley and Arlington. Emerson opened the week with a 1-under-par 34 at Vic toria Club in Riverside to help Poly to a 180-237 win over Paloma Valley. He had three birdies and two bogeys during that round. Emerson’s gem of the week, however, was a 5-under-par 31 he shot at Fairmount Golf Club in Riverside to lead the Bears to a 182-201 win over Arlington. He had four birdies, one eagle (on the par-4 seventh hole) and one bogey. Poly entered the week with an overall record of 13-0, including a 6-0 mark in league.
