Man convicted in murder of 10yearold arrested in Pawtucket narcotics investigation

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Pawtucket police arrested a man previously convicted of the second degree murder of a 10-year-old in Massachusetts with numerous narcotics and firearm-related counts.
Joseph Cousin, 40, of Pawtucket, was arrested Monday and charged with manufacturing, delivery and possess
ion of fentanyl and cocaine (two separate counts), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (two separate charges) and multiple others.
Cousin was arrested after a Pawtucket Police Department Narcotics Unit investigation into cocaine and fentanyl distribution in Pawtucket and surrounding cities.
Pawtucket police said that they executed a search warrant at Cousin’s North Bend Street residence and seized a 10mm Glock-29 semi-automatic handgun, a 9mm Glock-19 semi-automatic, a handgun with an automatic Glock switch, several high capacity magazines, a 50-round 9mm magazine drum and several hundred rounds of various ammunition.
Also discovered at the residence was approximately $8,100.00 in cash, approximately 55 grams of fentanyl, approximately 20 grams of cocaine, digital scales, cutting agents and packaging material.
Cousin had previously served approximately 21 years in state prison and had been out of prison for two years prior to the North Bend Street investigation.
Cousin was ordered held without bail.
