San Diego weather today: Cooler temperatures, rain chances later this week
Apr 15, 2025
A low-pressure system is bringing cloudy skies and a chance for morning drizzle. Meanwhile, temperatures will be similar by the afternoon and even a bit cooler over the mountains and deserts.
As the low-pressure system deepens and moves over Southern California, cloud cover will linger, winds wil
l become stronger over the mountains and deserts, and temperatures will continue to cool. Another area of low pressure by late week could also bring rain chances. Friday will be the coldest day of the week
Back to the winds, 30-35mph westerly wind gusts are possible today for our mountains and deserts, strengthening to nearly 45-60mph on Wednesday and Thursday.
We’ll have additional chances for drizzle tonight through Wednesday morning west of the mountains, with higher rain chances on Thursday and Friday. Accumulations could be on the lighter side, but there is also a chance of thunderstorms over our mountains on Friday.
There will be a lower chance of rain Saturday morning, but conditions look to be mostly dry with warmer temperatures on Easter Sunday.
