Weather Forecast: Colder air and scattered showers on the way
Apr 15, 2025
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — We will be warm to start off today, but we will quickly lose that warmth. A series of weak troughs will move through the area by midday today, bringing scattered rain showers along with it. Temperatures are expected to climb into the low 50s ahead of these troughs. Behind
them will be a blast of colder air that will bring our temperatures down into the 30s for overnight lows. Winds will ramp up with gusts up to 45 mph, making those temperatures feel colder than they actually are. Rain/snow showers will also begin to set up this evening.
Windy conditions are expected for the next 36 hours here in WNY. Along with the chance of seeing isolated power outages and smaller and weaker tree limbs down, it will also make our temperatures feel a lot colder than they actually are. pic.twitter.com/rlBtuv6ww0— Leanne Byer (@LeanneByerwx1) April 15, 2025
You can expect these gusty conditions and rain/snow showers throughout much of the day on Wednesday. Temperatures will barely make it to the 40s, but with those gusty conditions, temperatures will feel colder than they actually are. Scattered rain/snow showers will taper off during the afternoon hours, leaving us with cloudy skies. Temperatures will fall into upper 20s for overnight lows.

Clouds will quickly move out of the area for Thursday morning. Mostly sunny skies will persist throughout the day as temperatures rise back up into the 50s for highs. Unfortunately, this will be a brief dry stretch.
Rain looks to move back into the area for Friday afternoon and into the first part of the weekend. Temperatures, on the other hand, will continue to gradually rise back up into the 60s. Easter Sunday looks to remain dry and warm, but just not as warm as the days prior. Temperatures will only reach the low 50s.
