ALLENTOWN — Anthony Benitez threw a two-hitter with nine strikeouts to hurl the Hightstown High varsity baseball team past Allentown, 3-0, Monday at Dan Venet Field.
Daniel Krier went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, a run scored and two runs batted in to account for half of the Rams’ offensive
production (three runs in the fifth inning).
Singles by Max Kleinz and Dieter Von Harten were the only production the Redbirds could manage versus Benitez.

EWING — Chase Hamerschlag doubled, scored three times and picked up his first win on the mound with relief help from James Schiavone as the Tigers held off the Blue Devils at Andy Greener Field.
Ryan Greig knocked in a pair of runs for Ewing, and Joey Andreas scored twice.
