Both involve the 7th and 8th seed, so no one will be eliminated just yet. Western Conference: Memphis Grizzlies vs. Golden State Warrio rs Just two weeks after the Golden State Warriors hosted the Memphis Grizzlies, they are playing to determine seeding in the playoffs. The last time they met, the Warriors were victorious and Ja Morant picked himself up a $75,000 fine for twice making a gun gesture. Once with the Miami Heat and another with the Warriors. All the controversy surrounding Ja Morant and I still find myself rooting for the Grizzlies. Why? As a Spurs fan, I have an abject disdain for a player who forces himself out of a team by refusing to play. I think Jimmy Butler’s behavior was reprehensible and I cannot in good faith root for Golden State. Plus, it’s the Warriors, Shouldn’t they be fading into obscurity by now? Eastern Conference: Atlanta Hawks vs. Orlando Magic As a Spurs fan, this one is a no-brainer. The Spurs own the Hawk’s first round draft pick.
