LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- A former assistant principal at Comeaux High School was arrested over the weekend in connection with a sex crime, authorities said. James Cork, 47, of Lafayette, is charged with sexual battery after his arrest by Lafayette Police early Saturday morning. Accordi ng to a statement from Lafayette Parish School System, Cork was placed on administrative leave on Feb. 13 for reasons unrelated to his recent arrest, and resigned from LPSS on Friday.   No other details have been released.
