Former Comeaux High assistant principal charged with sexual battery

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- A former assistant principal at Comeaux High School was arrested over the weekend in connection with a sex crime, authorities said.
James Cork, 47, of Lafayette, is charged with sexual battery after his arrest by Lafayette Police early Saturday morning.

ng to a statement from Lafayette Parish School System, Cork was placed on administrative leave on Feb. 13 for reasons unrelated to his recent arrest, and resigned from LPSS on Friday.
