Videos show moment when earthquake strikes in San Diego area

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A 5.2 magnitude earthquake that shook the area has been top of mind for San Diegans on Monday.
FOX 5/KUSI received numerous videos of the quake impacting different parts of the county.
At the San Diego Zoo Safari Park in Escondido, African elephants were caught on cam
era instinctively forming a protective circle around the younger elephants to protect them when the earthquake struck.
In Ramona, video shows two dogs running out the door as the shaking starts, just east of the center of the tremor which was two miles south of Julian.

A few miles southwest of the epicenter, in the community of San Diego Country Estates, home video shows mother Ashley Pinnick pick up her young baby, and yell “Get out!” multiple times and rush out of the house, along with her partner and cat.
Another video shows a cat in a San Diego County home appearing confused by the shaking as it looked around trying to figure out what was happening.
Following the quake, a series of aftershocks shook the region in the hours after, with some stronger than magnitude 3.0.
