Local business backs 'Bikes Fight Cancer Charity Ride' with matching funds

SOUTH DEERFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - We are just a few months away from the 'Bikes Fight Cancer Charity Ride' in South Deerfield which supports cancer patients and funds life-saving research, and a local business is showing its support for the cause.
Valley Solar will match all donations made to the r
ide - up to $100 dollars per donation -- with a maximum of $5,000 in matching funds, doubling the impact of every contribution.
Last year the ride raised over $170,000. This year, they hope to raise over $200,000 to further its mission of fighting cancer through cycling.
Co-founder of 'Bikes Fight Cancer Charity Ride,' Meghan Morin tells 22News, "Sometimes you feel lost and helpless when someone you're, you know, is dealing with cancer. And this is just an opportunity for our community to come together and feel a little empowered in the fight against cancer."
The ride will take place on June 14th at Tree House Brewing Company in South Deerfield.
