AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Fire Department said a fire was out after crews responded to a report of a structure fire in southeast Austin Monday. No injuries were reported, according to AFD. The agency said on social media around 7 p.m. it responded to the 7800 block of Burleson Road for a repor t of "black smoke coming from" the structure. When units arrived on the scene, they initially reported it was a "residential structure on fire and residents evacuating." Around 7:30 p.m., AFD said the fire was knocked down, and it conducted "multiple searches of the residence" and did not find anything. Shortly before 8 p.m., AFD said the fire was out, and crews continued "complete extinguishment" of the fire. Investigators were headed to the scene to determine what caused the fire and damages.
