SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KYSI) -- A suspect was fatally shot Monday following a pursuit that ended in the Golden Hill area. Authorities received a call of a man with a rifle at 98 Sanger Place in San Ysidro, according to the San Diego Police Department. The incident then turned into a chase headed no rthbound on Interstate 5. Police say the driver got off I-5 on Pershing Avenue, with the pursuit ending at 26th Street and E Street in Golden Hill. Shots were fired at the location, resulting in the suspect being killed in the shooting involving police, per SDPD. The homicide unit is investigating the incident.
