Some North County train services canceled or delayed after earthquake

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Monday morning's 5.2 magnitude earthquake affected North County train service, leading to some delays and cancellations.

Then, just after 11:15 a.m., all COASTER trains between Solana Beach and Sorrento Valley were stopped due to the earthquake.

BREEZE bus units 2707 and 2148 at Solana Beach and 2024 and 2506 at Sorrento Valley were provided to accommodate passengers.
Moments later, NCTD tweeted out that the SPRINTER train would also operate on a "reduced schedule" and would not serve California State University San Marcos until "track inspections are complete."
Announcements of cancellations followed, including the 1:20 p.m. northbound COASTER.
A southbound COASTER train departing at 2:36 was also canceled. Passengers who were on the canceled train services were transferred to BREEZE buses to all COASTER stops.
Later in the afternoon, around 3:15 p.m., SPRINTER service to CSUSM resumed. However, the trains continued on a reduced schedule pending track inspections, according to NCTD.
A northbound COASTER train departing Santa Fe Depot at 3:40 p.m. was expected to leave about 20 minutes later than scheduled due to a platform/track change.
Meanwhile, a southbound COASTER train scheduled to leave Oceanside at 3:36 p.m. was canceled. The next available COASTER departed southbound from Oceanside at 4:16 p.m., according to NCTD. ...read more read less
