WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Tariffs on tech are prompting local cell phone stores to prepare.
"Pretty sure that the parts are going to go up unfortunately, so we're going to try and keep prices low on repairs because a lot of people use phones and fix their phones," MobileComm Lead Technician Nolen
Moore said.
The MobileComm team on Seneca has ordered extra parts and accessories and is stocking up to blunt the expected price increases. Moore says that since many electronics and their parts come from China, tariffs will raise the price of both new phones and repairs for older models.

President Donald Trump said these tariffs will encourage companies to change their supply chain and do more work in the U.S. Today, he said it is important to be "flexible" in the current trade negotiations. ...read more read less
