SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- An all-women crew is back on Earth after launching to the edge of space Monday morning.
CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King was among the six women onboard the Blue Origin spaceflight.
Each crew member rang a bell before blasting off.
King, who could be seen with a
serious expression her face, later said she was afraid in that moment.
After liftoff, the crew traveled more than 60 miles above the earth's surface.
The autonomous flight lasted roughly 10 minutes.

After safely returning to earth, King said she was glad she did it.
"Eleanor Roosevelt once said courage is doing something that scares you, but you do it anyway. And I stepped out of my comfort zone in a way that I never thought was possible for me. And now that I've done it, I really do feel I can take on anything. Anything, anything," King told a Blue Origin representative.
Grayce Keller of Sioux Falls watched the live coverage of the launch Monday morning.
"I always watch the morning show at CBS, and I knew that Gayle King was going to go up, and I wanted to see it," Keller said.
Keller says she's proud of the news anchor for facing her fears.
"I really admired that because she was so fearful and did it even though she was very, very scared," Keller said.
This was only the second all-female crew in the history of space flight. The first was a solo trip by a cosmonaut back in the 1960s.
"I think it's a wonderful thing. There's nothing women can't do," Keller said.
Other crew members included singer Katy Perry and journalist and philanthropist Lauren Sanchez, who's engaged to Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos.
