Lexington Catholic announces new Head Football Coach

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington Catholic announced David Clark as the program’s new Head Football Coach on Monday afternoon.
Clark brings a wealth of experience and success from Bardstown High School, where he spent the past 27 years as both an assistant and head coach.
Clark gradu
ated from Centre College in 1996, and has gone on to build an impressive coaching résumé. As head coach at Bardstown from 2007 to 2023, he led the program to a Class 3A regional championship and a state runner-up finish, in addition to four state semifinal appearances, five district titles, and two undefeated regular seasons. His tenure resulted in 131 wins over 17 seasons. From 1996 to 2006, Clark served as an assistant and offensive coordinator, contributing to Bardstown’s 2A state championship win in 2001.
