GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - A 19-year-old Green Bay man will spend the next 10 years behind bars after being sentenced Friday in Brown County Court for two separate child assault cases that occurred at a local hotel.

Following his prison term, Powless will serve 10 years of extended supervision and must register as a sex offender.
The charges stem from a series of incidents that took place at the Tundra Lodge in Green Bay. On January 20, officers responded to a report that Powless tried to pull down a child’s pants and then block them from exiting an elevator. The victim told police that while Powless did pull her pants down, he did not make further contact before running out.
As officers investigated, they were notified of a second report involving Powless, matching the same description. Authorities attempted to locate him at the hotel but were unsuccessful.
Five days later, on January 25, a third report came in from the same hotel. In this case, Powless allegedly approached a girl in an elevator, told her to “kiss me,” and then inappropriately touched her.
On January 26, officers located a vehicle associated with Powless and took him into custody.
