When a warm front moved north earlier today, our temperatures surged and highs reached the 70s in many places.
Wind gusts approached as high as around 40 mph today, due to the strong area of low pressure tracking across the region. Conditions stay breezy this evening, though the highest gusts a
re subsiding. But, they'll pick back up, again, during the daytime tomorrow.
Comfortable spring-like conditions are in the evening forecast. Overnight, we drop into the 40s.
Chances for a few scattered rain showers arrive overnight and continue during the daytime tomorrow, but they will be very hit-or-miss. Most of Tuesday will be dry and rain-free. Lows behind today's cold front drop into the lower 40s by early morning.

A few rain showers linger into the daytime tomorrow as well, and we'll be notably colder behind the cold front. The best scattered rain chances come in the morning hours, between 6 an 10 am. Towns near the Michigan state line may even see a snow shower or two. Highs tomorrow only reach the upper 40s in the afternoon. It will be another windy day too, with gusts up to 40 mph possible. Hold on to those hats!
Tuesday's daytime wind gusts will be as high as between 30 and 40 mph.
Skies clear overnight Tuesday, and this leaves us with a mostly sunny Wednesday. Highs then rise back into the mid-50s.
Severe storms are possible Friday. Right now, the timing for storm development looks mainly to be later in the day and at nighttime into Saturday.
Wednesday is the start of a warming trend, as we reach the mid-60s Thursday, and the upper 70s Friday. This end-of-week warmth is followed by a low pressure system, which may provide rain and thunderstorms for Good Friday. Some of these storms could be strong/severe. Right now, the most likely timeframe for these storms is late in the day Friday and during Friday night. This storm potential, and its timing, may still change between now and the end of the week.
