EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A reputed member of the Paisas gang was arrested last Tuesday, April 8 after Border Patrol agents discovered he was illegally present in the U.S., according to U.S. Border Patrol. U.S. Border Patrol says on Tuesday, April 8, agents assigned to the El Paso sector identifi ed Mexican national Ramon Aguirre-Gueta, who was illegally present in the U.S. Record checks revealed that Aguirre-Gueta has an extensive criminal history, including multiple felony convictions for illegal re-entry, a 2008 conviction for bank robbery which resulted in a 64-month prison sentence, and several probation violations, Border Patrol said. During processing, Aguirre-Gueta also identified himself as a Paisas gang member, Border Patrol said.
