Video shows mother pick up baby and run during Southern California earthquake

(KSWB/KUSI) — A home video shows a quick-thinking San Diego County mother pick up her young baby and exit her house during Monday's strong earthquake.
A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck in eastern San Diego County at 10:08 a.m. near the community of Julian, with shaking felt throughout the south
ern part of the state.
Just a few miles southwest of the epicenter, in the community of San Diego Country Estates, mother Ashley Pinnick was in her living room with her baby and cat when the shaking happened.
The video shows that, as soon as the shaking was felt, Pinnick ran to pick up 9-month-old baby Michael and headed toward the front door, saying "Get out!" multiple times.

At the same time, the family's cat runs toward another part of the house.
The video shows that, as Pinnick and her baby exit, her partner, Andrew Paul, joins them.
Paul told Nexstar's KSWB/KUSI that Pinnick is a San Diego native and that she said Monday's earthquake was the strongest one she has ever experienced.
The earthquake caused moderate shaking throughout Southern California, although no major damages or injuries were reported. ...read more read less
