Wrongway driver killed, 74yearold injured in headon collision near Eckelson

ECKELSON, ND (KXNET) — A 44-year-old Mandan man was killed in a head-on collision on I-94 after he allegedly drove east in a westbound lane.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at about 12:58 p.m. on Monday, two miles southeast of Eckelson, a Toyota Camry was traveling east in the wes
tbound lanes of I-94 when it struck a Chevrolet Traverse head-on.
The Toyota came to rest in the median, and the Chevy stopped in the westbound lanes.
Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash with 79-year-old driver
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the Chevy, a 74-year-old man from Bismarck, sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Valley City and then to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.
The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
