Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash with 79yearold driver

FARGO, ND (KXNET) — A 20-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash Saturday evening in Fargo after colliding with a Chevrolet Malibu being driven by a 79-year-old woman.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at about 7:31 p.m., a Triumph Street Triple motorcycle was traveli
ng east on 52nd Ave approaching an intersection. A Chevy Malibu that was westbound on the same street entered the left turn lane to go south on 31st St.
The Chevy then entered the intersection and started to turn. The motorcycle also entered the intersection and attempted to steer right before crashing into the car. The rider, a 20-year-old man, was ejected from the motorcycle and was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The Chevy driver, a 79-year-old woman, and the passenger, an 82-year-old woman, reported minor injuries, while the other passenger, an 18-year-old woman, reported no injuries.
Earlier that evening, law enforcement recorded the motorcycle driving up to 140 mph but decided not to pursue for safety reasons. The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
