WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WWLP) - Travel is ramping up at Bradley International Airport as schools are going on spring vacations.
Major factors that cause allergy season in Massachusetts
School-aged students in Connecticut are currently on their April break and Massachusetts students are pr
eparing to go on theirs next week. With many families using this time to take a trip, Bradley International Airport is preparing for an influx of travelers.
The airport told 22News from April 9th, through Sunday April 20th, they're anticipating 121,000 people will be departing from Bradley. With busy airports creating a stressful experience, they have a few tips for a smoother trip.
"The big piece of advice is people should be inside the terminal, ready to check in with their airline, at least 90 minutes before their flight and people should also give themselves extra time for parking as well. Of course downloading your airline's app is also another big piece of advice because you can stay in touch with your airline and if there is a schedule change, you will be notified right away," said the Spokesperson for Bradley International Airport, Brian Spyros.
They also said it is important to remember what items you can pack where so your bag doesn't get pulled aside while going through security, remembering all liquids in a carry-on bag are limited to no larger than 3.4 fluid ounces.
Bradley also has a website where passengers can pre-order food so once they get through security, they can just go pick up their food and go to their gate or plane with no wait.
Real ID's will also be required to travel domestically starting on May 7th, unless using another form of valid identification like a passport.
