SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – A Santa Fe man has been arrested, accused of murdering his wife during an argument. New Mexico State Police officers were sent to a home Saturday afternoon for a reported stabbing.

Police say they found 46-year-old Minerva Marquez Dominguez with at least one stab wound. First responders attempted life-saving measures, but Dominguez died at the scene. Officers later found 47-year-old Servando Castillo Lujan, who they say matched the suspect description. According to NMSP, Dominguez was babysitting when she and her husband got into an argument before Lujan grabbed a knife and stabbed her with the child nearby. Police say Lujan then called a family member and told them he had killed his wife. He is now facing charges for first degree murder and child abuse. ...read more read less
