Metro Public Safety Day gives community a chance to interact with first responders

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The Metro Public Safety Day event gives families a free and fun opportunity to meet local police departments, sheriff's offices, fire departments and other first responders.

The event will be Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Cottonwood Mall. The event gives people a chance to interact with first responders and check out what each department has to offer. Representatives from over 20 different departments will be at the event. The National Guard is bringing out obstacle courses for attendees to participate in.
