High Valley Transit’s makeshift tent off Interstate 80 and across from Ecker Hill Middle School is on its way out today. The construction trailers and tent that have served as the transit group’s headquarters are being phased out as the group begins moving into its new $46 million headquarters n ear Silver Summit, off U.S. 40 near Home Depot. The group began dismantling the tent on Monday, according to Operations Director Brad Herkimer.The nearly finished facilities span 8 acres and include three buildings: one 18,000-square foot building for administration, one 17,000-square-foot building for maintenance and one 31,000-square-foot building for storage.
