PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — This week is holy week for Christians across the world, and Providence will welcome a familiar clergyman for the sacred celebration. The Most Reverend Richard G. Henning will return to Providence for Monday’s mass. Henning will lead the Chrism mass where he will bles s the oils. He will also serve as homilist. Henning was appointed the Archbishop of Boston last year. Last week, the Archdiocese of Providence welcomed the newly appointed bishop, Bruce Lewandowski.
