MUNCIE, Ind. -- Police have arrested a Muncie man who reportedly punched a woman and slashed her tires after accusing her of cheating on him.
Muncie Police Department crews were called Sunday to the 1200 block of West Bethel Avenue to investigate a domestic disturbance. According to court documen
ts, police arrived on the scene and spoke with a woman. She told them a man, later identified by police as 25-year-old Micah Johnson, was climbing out of a back window to exit the apartment.
Police began searching the area behind the apartment complex and saw Johnson running westward before turning north toward the 1100 block of West Weber Drive. Court documents detail how a brief foot pursuit followed, which ended with police detaining the suspect.

The woman told officers Johnson had hit her on the head while she was showering. Her juvenile son was also reportedly present during the incident, court documents said.
The woman added that she had gone out with friends the night before. When she returned home, she told police that Johnson accused her of cheating. When she woke up the next day, she said all four tires on her gray 2022 Kia were slashed. She said Johnson had allegedly admitted to cutting the tires while on a phone call, court documents said.
The woman said she then went back inside her apartment and began to shower. A short time later, she said she overheard who she believed to be Johnson enter her apartment. The two reportedly began arguing as Johnson allegedly threatened her while holding a pocket knife, court documents said.
Johnson then allegedly punched the woman while she was showering in front of her child. The argument carried over to the bedroom, where he reportedly took the woman's cell phone before fleeing through the back window of the apartment.
Shortly after he was detained, police said Johnson grabbed one of the officers and "dug his fingernails into the back of his hand," according to court documents. While he was being transported to an area hospital for evaluation, court documents detailed how Johnson allegedly threatened to grab a rifle and "kill the officers involved in this case."
Johnson was placed under arrest and brought to the Delaware County Jail, where he faces the following preliminary charges:
