EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The University Medical Center (UMC) of El Paso has been awarded accreditation by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC) as a level-three epilepsy center, which is the first hospital in El Paso to earn this distinction, UMC said in a press release on Monday, Apr il 14. As a level-three epilepsy center, UMC says it's able to provide "comprehensive diagnosis and treatment, specialized monitoring, medication management, and surgical capabilities from a multifaceted team of neurologists, neurosurgeons, EEG technologists, neuropsychologists, radiologists and a Neuro ICU team." “The work UMC’s Neuro team does is unmatched.
