BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- Lawmakers returned to the Louisiana State Capitol on Monday for the start of this year's regular legislative session. The session convened at noon and is scheduled to adjourn by 6 p.m. Thursday, June 12. Priorities for lawmakers in this year's regular sess ion include addressing the insurance crisis to lower rates, the state budget and teacher pay raises after Amendment 2 failed in the March election.
