BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET)-- An arrest was made on Thursday after a stolen vehicle was located by the Ridgecrest Police Department.
Ridgecrest PD arrested Cody Ray Nelson, a transient of Ridgecrest and Lancaster on the charge of possession of a stolen vehicle.
Ridgecrest PD said they used a ne
w technology called the Flock License Plate Reader to locate the vehicle. The software allows law enforcement to check if the vehicle in question is stolen or linked to someone under a warrant.
Officers said they arrested Nelson without incident.
