Weather Forecast: Warm today, back to reality tomorrow
Apr 14, 2025
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — It'll be a warm start to our week here in Western New York! We have a warm front pushing through the area, which will be the key for those temperatures to warm up. Winds will turn southerly, allowing for warmer air to rush in. Temperatures are expected to climb into the up
per 60s for highs today. There is a chance of an isolated thunderstorm or two as the cold front passes through the region this evening. Otherwise, clouds will remain dominant as temperatures drop into the 40s.
8-Day Forecast
Winds will start to ramp up as that front pushes through the region. We will be cooler to start off the day on Tuesday, but we're also going to remain dry for the morning hours. Rain showers will start around midday as another front pushes through the area. This will knock our temperatures down and ramping up our winds even more. Temperatures are likely to reach the upper 40s ahead of the front. Wind direction will change during the overnight hours as rain/snow showers settle in. Wednesday will likely be our coldest day of the week. Temperatures will climb into the low 40s, but it will feel colder due to those wind gusts. Rain/snow showers look to continue through the first half of the day before tapering off. Temperatures will fall into the upper 20s for lows.
We will get a brief break from the wet weather on Thursday. Partly cloudy conditions are expected with temperatures rising back up into the low 50s. Temperatures will continue to climb throughout the rest of the week but will be reintroduced to rain showers on Friday.
Rain showers look to continue for the first half of the weekend but are expected to clear out for the Easter Sunday. Temperatures are warm for both days, getting into the 50s. There are some trends showing that we could see warmer temperatures for next week.
