Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw announced that a 58-year-old Gloucester City man has been sentenced to 17 years in state prison for sexually assaulting two minors five years ago. Henry Papaleo must serve 85 percent of the term before becoming eligible for parole under the sentence i mposed Friday in Superior Court in Mount Holly by the Hon. Aimee Belgard, P.J.Cr. Papaleo will be placed on the New Jersey sex offender registry and be subjected to parole supervision for life upon release from incarceration. He pled guilty in November to two counts of Sexual Assault of a Child Less than 13 Years of Age (Second Degree). The investigation began in 2023 after the victims informed their parents of the assaults. In an effort to protect their identities, further details about the assaults are being withheld, as is information regarding the circumstances of Papaleo’s access to the children. Papaleo was prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Eife, supervisor of the BCPO Special Victims Unit.
