Inmate in custody after escaping from a detention center in Pointe Coupee Parish, officials say

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — An inmate was captured after escaping from a detention center in Pointe Coupee Parish on Sunday, April 13.
Crystal H. Palermo, 42, was back in custody as of 11:30 p.m., according to the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office.
PCPSO said Palermo was in th
e detention center on drug charges and she escaped a little before 8:25 p.m.
They said, "she was last seen wearing a blue and white sports bra with white boxers and no shoes."
The sheriff's office and Angola Chase Team took place in the search for the inmate.
