ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The large police presence on Rugby Avenue Sunday evening was due to the Rochester Police Department's response to a motor vehicle accident. A News 8 photographer reported that the street was closed from Chili Avenue to Frost Avenue. A motor vehicle was traveling sou thbound on Rugby Avenue and sideswiped a vehicle traveling northbound, RPD said. The driver of the vehicle that struck the other was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital as a precautionary measure and authorities confirmed there were no major injuries. ...read more read less
