Burlington County Commissioners Invite Artists to Submit Work for 2025 Senior Art Show

EASTAMPTON – The Burlington County Senior Art Show is returning to Historic Smithville Park this spring and the County Commissioners are encouraging senior artists to help make it the best one yet.
Artists 60 and older – both professional and non-professional – are eligible to submit their ori
ginal artwork for the show, which will be held at the Smithville Mansion Annex Gallery from May 16 through September 6. The exhibition is organized by the Burlington County Department of Human Services Office on Aging in partnership with the Burlington County Parks System.
Submissions must be delivered to the Annex Gallery during the two-day intake period on May 2 or May 3.

Submissions will be placed in one of nine categories and will be judged by a juried panel. Art judged to be the best from each category will be displayed in the New Jersey Senior Art Show featuring works from across the state.
“The arts are a wonderful creative outlet for residents of all ages and Burlington County is proud to provide this showcase for our talented seniors,” said Burlington County Commissioner Director Felicia Hopson, the liaison to the Department of Human Services and Office on Aging.
“The arts contribute so much to Burlington County and its high quality of life,” added Burlington County Commissioner Deputy Director Allison Eckel, the liaison to the Department of Resource Conservation and Parks. “The Senior Art Show is an outstanding exhibit that provides a showcase for both professional and non-professional artists. We want to encourage as many seniors as possible to participate and have their work displayed in beautiful, historic Smithville Mansion.”
All Burlington residents 60 years and older are eligible to submit an original piece of artwork in one of the nine categories: acrylic painting, watercolor and gouache, photography, oil painting, pastel and chalk, sculpture, mixed media, print/digital, and craft/works on paper.
There is no fee for submission. All submissions must have been completed during the past three years. All submissions will be exhibited and judged in professional and nonprofessional categories.
Artists interested in submitting works to this year’s show are asked to complete a registration form no later than May 2. All submissions should be brought to the Smithville Mansion Annex Gallery, 803 Smithville Road, Eastampton, on May 2, from 10 AM to Noon, or May 3, from 1 PM to 4 PM.
