Bucks County sets records for tourism according to newly released stats

Tourism generated $1.3 billion in record economic impact in Bucks County last year, a 3.4 percent increase over the previous year, according to the county’s official tourism agency.
Visit Bucks County also said a record 8.4 million visitors last year spent $710 million on lodging, food, transporta
tion, retail and recreation.
“Visitor spending continues to be a powerful driver for the local economy,” said Paul Bencivengo, President, CEO, Visit Bucks County. “The VBC Team works hard to market promote, advocate and support Bucks County’s hospitality businesses. In 2024, we saw record-breaking visitation and spending, reinforcing the county’s appeal as a travel destination. ”
The impact of visitor spending extends beyond hotels and attractions, he said.
Said Bencivengo: “It supports local companies, creates jogs and enhances the quality of life for residents.”
Bucks County welcomed a record 8.4 million visitors last year, a 2.4 percent hike over the year before, said the tourism agency, noting day- and over-night visitation last year in the county surpassed the highs of 2018 and 2019. Visit Bucks County said that mark is “a testament” to the county’s continued appeal as a travel destination site.
Visit Bucks County’s year-end findings also determined there were 29,104 leisure and hospitality jobs in Bucks County, a 1.5 percent increase over the previous year. ...read more read less
