The Thunder arrived home in style after their last regular season win against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Devin Newsom is a former Storm Chaser for the Thunder, organizing the event on Sunday.
"This team is historic, how often do you see a team literally win 68 games in one season? Like, that doesn't happen very often, right? The excitement is here, the energy is here, we just want to come together and show all of Oklahoma City and our Thunder players how much we love and appreciate them," Newsom said.
The Thunder means so much to Oklahomans, families even relocating to immerse themselves in the Thunder culture.
"We actually moved here from Pennsylvania for the Thunder back in 2016," said Troy Marsh.
Marsh said the nine years of being in the metro with his wife and son have been unforgettable and they look forward to seeing the team advance.
