RPD: 10yearold crashed car into clothing store and 2 other cars, no injuries

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Rochester Police Department said a 10-year-old was behind the wheel when a car ran into a clothing store on Sunday afternoon.
Police responded to the Rainbow clothing store located at the 1300 block of Lyell Avenue at approximately 3:07 p.m. after reports of a motor
vehicle accident involving an SUV that had struck a building.
According to RPD, their investigation found the occupants of a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, were a mother, her child, and another person who had driven to the location to shop. At a certain point, while the car was parked and running, the child moved into the driver's seat and put the vehicle in drive. The Jeep then struck a 2022 GMC Acadia and a 2018 Subaru Forrester before striking the front of the store.
Police presence on Rugby Ave., closed to traffic
There was no structural damage to the building and no one was hurt.
The incident is under investigation to understand how the crash occurred.
