Children’s Museum of Indianapolis seeks teens for apprentice program

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Teenagers are being sought for the Museum Apprentice Program at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
Teens will assist with exhibits and events, developing leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
The Museum Apprentice Program for ages 13-18 runs from Se
ptember to May, and selected participants must attend meetings one Saturday and one Wednesday evening per month, and volunteer at least once each semester. Applications are due by May 31.
The Museum Apprentice Program aims to develop well-rounded thinkers and active citizens with a sense of autonomy, requiring competency, empathy, responsibility, and community. Participants will build communication, planning, time management, and customer service skills.
The program allows participants to lead service projects that demand critical thinking skills, creativity, commitment, and high standards of excellence. The teens will also receive professional development through field trips, guest speakers, and workshops, connecting with local organizations and businesses.
