Mild start, breezy Monday, and a midweek cooldown | April 13, 2025
Apr 13, 2025
TONIGHT
Skies turn mostly cloudy overnight as low-pressure approaches from the west. Southerly winds around 10 to 15 mph will keep conditions mild, with lows holding near 56. A good night to leave the windows cracked open—if you’re not too sensitive to the breeze.
TOMORROW
A
cold front sweeps through during the afternoon, bringing a chance of scattered showers and perhaps a thunderstorm between late morning and early afternoon. Highs will climb near 70 before cooler air follows behind the front. While instability will be limited, a few storms could produce gusty winds—especially southeast of Indianapolis. Expect breezy conditions throughout the day.
TOMORROW NIGHT
Any leftover showers taper early in the evening, followed by mostly cloudy skies. Cooler air filters in behind the front with lows dipping into the mid 40s. Winds will stay brisk out of the west around 10 to 15 mph. A light jacket may be needed if you’re out late.
TUESDAY
A cool, breezy day with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs top out in the mid 50s with northwest winds gusting to 30 mph at times. A brief, isolated shower isn’t out of the question, but most spots will stay dry. If you’re heading outside, bundle up—it’ll feel more like early March than mid-April.
TUESDAY NIGHT
Mostly clear and chilly overnight. Lows fall into the upper 30s, and with breezy northwest winds continuing, frost coverage should remain patchy and limited to sheltered areas. Still, it’s not a bad night to do some stargazing—just dress for the chill.
WEDNESDAY
Sunny skies and lighter winds return, helping temperatures rebound to around 60 degrees by afternoon. A great day for a walk, errands, or catching some sun on the patio. Comfortable and calm overall.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
Partly cloudy with a low near 42. Winds remain light and variable under high pressure. Quiet weather continues, and it should be comfortable enough for an open-window evening.
THURSDAY
A weak disturbance brings a slight chance of showers, especially in the afternoon. Otherwise, partly sunny with a high in the mid 60s. South winds pick up again, gusting near 20 mph. Still a decent day for outdoor plans between any passing light showers.
THURSDAY NIGHT
Clouds increase and the chance for showers rises to 40% overnight. Mild again with lows in the low to mid 50s. Expect a breezy and unsettled end to the workweek.
7 DAY FORECAST
After a breezy and mild Monday, a sharp cooldown settles in for Tuesday with highs in the 50s and gusty northwest winds. Things turn sunnier and calmer by midweek with great spring weather Wednesday, followed by increasing clouds and rain chances heading into Thursday and beyond.
